The Johannesburg Business School (JBS) is a division of the University of Johannesburg (UJ). We offer a range of Academic Programmes, including a Post Graduate Diploma, MBA (both part-time and online), and a DPhil, which are designed to provide students with relevant skills, knowledge and critical thinking capabilities suited to the challenges introduced by the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). The emphasis is on practical and useable knowledge that will have a direct benefit to the student’s business or organisation.
The Johannesburg Business School (JBS) is a member of the South African Business Schools Association (SABSA) and the Association of African Business Schools (AABS). Our Post-Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Digital Transformation are accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
The Johannesburg Business School (JBS) has embraced the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and repositioned all course offerings to equip current and future leaders to deal with the digital transformation resonating throughout the world. The digital revolution encompasses shifts in mind-sets and paradigms, and change management will be imperative.
JBS offers a progressive range of programmes to further 4IR in business, in partnership with our international associates, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), The Woxsen School of Business in India, University of California Berkley, the Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique (ISCTEM), and China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai.
The JBS Centre for Entrepreneurship (JBSCE) provides integrated entrepreneurial development support aimed at building the culture of entrepreneurship, developing start-ups and existing businesses for increased participation in the economy.
The JBS Centre for African Business (CAB) develops and publishes teaching case studies focused on African companies, runs webinars, and short courses linked to its research outputs, and is geared towards driving the Pan-African agenda and strategy of the JBS.
