Senior Site Reliability Engineer

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Bash.com you’ll be part of a pioneering team, building the platform foundation for a larger e-commerce experience for both our customers and store staff. You’ll work within the SRE tribe offering your expertise to other Engineers, ensuring the platform is Reliable, Available and Secure.
This position reports to an SRE Team Lead.
- Close collaboration within a team as part of an Agile development process.
- Assisting various Engineering teams on operational tasks related to our platform.
- Monitoring and Alerting of our platform
- Collaborative relationships with developers, security and other parties to influence them to build resilient, maintainable solutions.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for for critical system alerts
- Ensuring the platform is secure, available and reliable by having monitoring in place to measure these and improving security, availability and reliability.
- Documentation of processes (we use Confluence)

Skills you already have:
- Your finger on the pulse of industry trends and practices
- Experience in retail and/or an e-commerce environment(s).
- Experience with CI tools (we use Azure Pipelines).
- Problem solving skills with a can-do attitude who can apply critical thinking
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with containerization technology such as Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience building a developer centric platform, meeting the needs for building, deploying, securing, and operationalizing applications.
- Drive for automation and scalable practices – reducing toil is a passion.
- Broad knowledge of best practices which cover scale, security, reliability, manageability.
- Experience with development – at a minimum, the ability to script in shell or python.
