Digital HR Specialist At the Democratic Alliance in Cape Town

The DA wishes to appoint a technically savvy, innovative and goal driven individual, to lead the transformation and digitisation of our human resources service. The successful candidate will be based at our Federal Head Office in Cape Town and will report to the Head of Human Resources.
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Managing and coordinating the implementation, configuration, customisation and maintenance of all HR systems
- Introducing additional services, and recommending enhancements to HR systems, in accordance with best practice
- Ensuring integration across various HR systems
- Ensuring integration between HR systems and other systems in the Party
- Acting as the liaison between the HR department and various system-related service providers
- Providing support to, and resolving queries of, internal stakeholders
Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with extensive experience in implementation and integration of systems
- In depth technical understanding of HR and payroll systems:
- Experience using Sage300 People, including web self-service advantageous
- Experience using HR Manage advantageous
- Experience using Direct Hire recruitment system advantageous
- Project management experience, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Change management experience
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, SQL, Smartsheet or similar application)
- Digitisation skills, with an interest in identifying processes to be digitised
- Ability to recommend solutions or enhancements to processes
- Experience in designing training material and facilitating training sessions
- General HR experience
- Performance management, including inductions, probations, performance reviews
- Recruitment processes
- Job profiling and employee management
- Payroll experience advantageous
- Industrial relations experience advantageous
- Good understanding of the relevant labour legislation and an awareness of industry best practice
- Excellent administrative skills, organisational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholder
