MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Provide master scheduling/ project planning expertise to the infrastructure department that supports the effective utilisation of resources and enables management to make effective and efficient decisions through works planning and data-driven information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- To conduct planning and programming for the Project Portfolio
- To conduct data analysis for Mediclinic projects portfolio
- To monitor and plan resource capacity
- To monitor and mitigate planning risks within the project portfolio
- To conduct project portfolio status reporting and update central database for the Infrastructure departmen
- To management and maintain the planning system
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Qualification in project scheduling or operations management field
DESIRED EDUCATION: Degree or National Diploma in an Engineering field (NQF level 6) or Project Management or operations management field of study
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years planning
- Experience in Demand and Resource management
- Experience in Capacity planning
- Microsoft Project Experience
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in multiple resource planning in a design office
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- SAP experience or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience
- Ability and experience in working with high levels of detail
- Demonstrate good time management skills
- Ability to develop project schedules
- Knowledge of project portfolio management
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks with strict deadlines
- Experience in data collection and analysis
- Ability to plan portfolio resources
- Strong computer skills especially the Microsoft Office suite (MS Projects and Excel)
- Sound numerical skills
