The University of Fort Hare sends Offers of Admission by mail to qualified applicants. Your Admission letter includes a brochure with instructions on how to accept your admission.

You must confirm your admission before or by the deadline stated in your letter or you may lose your seat in the program.

To confirm your intention to attend the University of Fort Hare, and to become eligible to register for courses, you will need to accept your Letter.

How to accept an offer from the University of Fort Hare?

To accept your admission, log in to the UFH Online application portal and select the “Confirm” tab. You must respond by the expiry date noted in your offer. For more details on how to confirm an admission chance at UFH read below:

UFH STUDENT SELECTION AND ADMISSIONS PROCESS

1. Download the application forms or collect them from the Students Registration Office.

2. These are completed and returned to the Students Registration Office and get sorted per-Faculty.

3. Then the faculty selection committee (Deputy Dean: Teaching and Learning, Faculty Manager, HODs, and Administrators) convenes to do the selection.

4. Admission is done on merit, using the Swedish point system (High scores are considered first in chronological order)

5. For interview programs students are invited for presentations prior to selection *

6. The current matrics are provisionally accepted pending their matric final results and availability for admission into programs, plus NBT results

7. The application forms are checked and signed by the Faculty Manager according to the admission status.

8. Once the forms are signed, they are given back to the Students Registration Office to capture the status which is then communicated to the students as backup.

9. The Faculty keeps records of the accepted students as backup. Wait-listed students are considered after registration of accepted students

10. Accepted students get a notification from the Students Registration Office.

How do I accept an offer at UFH?

Suppose your application for admission in the current academic year is successful. In that case, UFH will offer you a space for the period for which you have applied and will also indicate for which qualification you are being given a space.
You must confirm or decline the study opportunity within the prescribed period. If you fail to do so, the University of Fort Hare will withdraw its offer and give your space to another qualified applicant.
You may only accept one study opportunity. This means that when you accept an offer for one qualification (irrespective of whether it is your first or second qualification of choice), the other study chance will automatically fall away.
• Applicants are permitted to register for the qualification related to the confirmed program.
If you accept the University of Fort Hare’s study opportunity, you must register for the period for which you were granted admission.
If you do not register for the relevant semester of study, you will need to re-apply during the next application period.
UFH Accept Offer: Accepted students get a notification from the Students Registration Office, if you have received a study offer from the registration office follow the instructions on it to accept the offer.
